Fishing is one of the most popular activities here at Sikkim. Our guests can also enjoy freshwater fishing either at nearby Rishi Khola or Rangpo chu both of which is approximately at 45 minutes drive from Sunakhari Homestay. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to the sport, our guides will be happy to help you out. We provide all the necessary equipment, so all you need to bring is a fishing license and a love for fishing.
Our homestay provides barbeque facilities for our guests to enjoy a delicious meal cooked over an open fire. Whether you're grilling up meats, fish or fowl, our barbeque is the perfect place to roast them either over wood or charcoal fire. Our Homestay is in close proximity to Mankhim forest best suited for a bird walk for Brown Boobok, Collared Scops Owl, Mountain Scops Owl and Brown Wood Owl.
The Neora Valley National Park and its adjacent Pangolakha WLS is another best location for birding. Mulkharka, Gaikhurey, and Phusrey Lake areas along Rachela ridge, can also be surveyed for birds. Rufous-throated Partridge, Red-faced Liocichla, and Ward's Trogon can be spotted in this area.
